Influence Reality by Testing Life

POSITIVE RESISTANCE IS A REACTION. It is the refusal. The interpretation. The NO. The struggle of self-repair. The ability to defy the odds and thrive through profitless conditions. It is the element which refuses access to any excuse. Like the brakes of a train it requires us to make sparks and test our own resources. It provokes us to overthrow traditions of instability, to finally wipe the steam from the mirror and face ourselves without fear of what it costs to take custody of our lives. That we may boldly ask ourselves, in contrast to our history, what is our might? What have we prepared ourselves for?

Creating Living Illustrations

The Definition program strives to guide each youth to a place of self-actualization. When foster teens were asked what they think they will come to celebrate about their lives each saw reflections of their unique resilience.

THESE ARE THE RESPONSES OF FOSTER YOUTH WHO WERE ASKED HOW THEY WANT TO BE REMEMBERED
	-Felicia, Age16 As the person who changed the way I thought about life and succeeded in what I wanted to be.
	-Emily, Age 15 As the person who changed the stereotype that most people have of foster children how we are not doomed to repeat the negative cycles which is an accessory to most children of broken homes.
	-Larry, Age17 As the person who changed the direction taken after this challenging segment of the beginning of my life
	-Shannon, Age 14 As someone who changed the statistics and the vision of everyone who has been negative. Also, a person who changed the odds and proved wrong.
